Miami ChapterThe Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. The Miami chapter was started by Wyatt Porter Brown and T.C over 10 years ago. Though there have been rough times, we’ve been growing ever since!
When: Saturday, May 16th 11 am – 12:15 pm – but all are encouraged to come early and enjoy our beautiful beach & ocean all day! The actual joining of hands will only be from 11:58 am - 12:10 pm where hands will join simultaneously all around Florida, the US and the WORLD.
Where: 5th Street on the sand at the water’s edge – look for the Surfrider tent
Why: This movement started in February 2010 BEFORE the BP disaster. Surfrider has been involved from the beginning and we’ll be rallying ocean lovers again for this fun, meaningful stand for a clean energy future that does not threaten our beach playground
